Denni, a ten-year-old with a daunting mission: to save his mother from his father's abuse. Too small to fight this battle alone, he seeks an unlikely ally: a professional hitman. Denni hires "Secco," believing him to be a ruthless assassin who kills for a living. In reality, Secco is a washed-up loser with a heart of gold.

The story is written by the duo Gianluca Santoni and Michela Straniero, both graduates of the illustrios Centro Sperimentale in Rome. The duo has won a Premio Solinas for best screenplay for this project in 2017. This is the director’s feature film debut.

The film has premiered at the Alice Nella Città Section of the Rome Film Festival in late 2023, receiving a ten minute standing ovation, it went on to win the “Best Up-and-Coming Director” prize of the Hollywood Reporter.

Since May 23rd, 2024, the film is available in limited cinemas across Italy. The first screening was held at the Beltrade Cinema in Milan.
